  • Ambient tinting applied more reliably to character sprites after scene changes.

Consider this alpha, lots of stuff is probably still broken.
I have to stress that this is a complete amateur project (I'm sitting in my underwear, eating a carrots in the middle of the night while writing this), so testing is pretty much nonexistent. The game has been tested on two machines running Windows 7, so that's the only platform I can give a weak guarantee for.

There will be bugs. Please send me email to: meandraco.gamedev@gmail.com when the game stops working. I will dedicate next few days to just fixing stuff in the game.

Please comment bugs and problems as well. I will try to answer everything. I will probably be sleeping the next 8 or so hours, so help and answers will come with a lag.

1.0 Notes:

  • You can use number pad keys to move around the map (or mouse if you're a masochist).
  • No sounds! (I have plans to change this).
  • Install the game to a fast hard drive. All the assets are streamed into the game.
    • If you have a really slow HD or an usb drive that goes to sleep easily, you're gonna have bad time.
  • I've crunched few weeks and I've made some rather violent editing with dialogue and story. Some dialogue trees might appear very sparse and linear because of this.
  • There's a lot of rushed art.
  • The male PC is more fleshed out and probably less buggy.
  • The game is based on Adobe Air so compiling versions for Android, macOS, iOS should be possible. I can't test these versions currently so I have opted not to put them online yet.
  • Lots of typos and other errors that will make your grammar glands seethe with rage.
    • A lot of the text is first draft and has never been looked at by an actual editor.
  • The art will vary wildly in quality, but I will do more work on all the art in the game in the next few as well.
  • The 1.0 play area is only the small peninsula. The area is blocked off with two 'gates' that can be opened when the next content update rolls out (2.0)
  • There is some unused content in the files. Peruse at your leisure.

Pro tips:

  • Stop messing with the sock.
  • Buy an axe.
  • Don't put any points in perception, it's a trash stat.
  • Don't put it in her pooper.
  • Study wildlife.
  • The caterpillar is a dude.
  • Put some points in will or you're gonna have bad time.

  2. I went back to talk to the Witch and can't figure out how to leave her house or exit the dialogue, also I can't figure out how to navigate to get anywhere on the map.

  4. Having the same issue as Cthulhus Dream. I can't seem to "navigate" my way out of the Witch's dialogue tree after re-entering the hut.

  7. One problem I seem to have is when I defeat the six-legged dinosaur like creature (don't know the name yet) and proceed to have sex with it, after choosing lift tail te game doesn't proceed and won't give any options and stays like that, giving me the only choice to restart the game.

  10. saving seems odd, rather than bringing me back to the point i saved it just brings me back to my last game state. so i cant like go back and try other options

    1. Seconding this. Ultimately, it isn't a /huge/ issue in this release, given that it doesn't take too terribly long to explore the content that's available, but given that there are a few dead-end dialogue options which seem to be bugged (such as Subni's non-forced anal dialogue), leaving the player in an inescapable empty dialogue window, the fact that it doesn't seem possible to re-load and try a different path can be a bit of a headache.

  12. Saving/Loading and items is definitely not being handled correctly. Tornoth has ended up with two pairs of white socks somehow, and there is no crowbar between us. Not sure where things are getting lost and duplicated but it's definitely not right. A couple other major bugs I've found are that the combat interface is invisible when the fight with the white creature on the beach, and if you've loaded the game the next time a screen transition happens the save/load interface will be there again and have to be re-closed.

    What's here though is very promising and I'm excited to see how it develops.

    1. I've looked under the hood and it seems the saving system only correctly retains information on the first save you make and then completely scrambles others after that. Odd behavior. Will try to fix this for 1.2 but I'm not entirely sure how big the problem is.

  14. I wonder if you're going to implement loot system and level up system(I found invisible button next to the stat value so level system will come soon right?)
    Some problem I found is that I really confuse with the battle system(I mean in DCK menu) and sometime the save screen just appear into the screen when entering place or battle. For this demo, I really enjoy it and can't wait to see how the next version would look like :)

  15. after cave and revisit blacksmiths daughter, She tells me to go to the Archaeologist and I get no Dialogue options to leave so I have to just close the game.

    2. I was on 1.1 and it was after the cave, i saw the issue you fixed in 1.2 with Shyni acting like she touched the bowl. But after that when back in town when asking her about at the cave she will tell me to show the stone tablet to Uum the Archaeologist. the dialogue box pops up at the bottom but it's empty

  16. Could you please add a button to go back when we get to the point where we can't continue the conversation? I just get a blank HUD and cant choose anything. I have to restart the game completely. I would like to just get back to the screen with map or with character I talked to or something.

  20. Female Cuoxur sex doesnt work for me (no hud upon encounter), also i cant seem to find breirb, but other than that the game is pretty great, especially them braqs man. I understand that its alpha but im really hopeful for the game and are excited for any updates down the road, especially since i just found this a few weeks ago.

  21. Question: will all characters disappear after you had sex with them(are they just unfinished), or will you be able to meet them later on in the game or will you add repeat scenes?

    1. The general idea is to have unique non repeatable sex scenes with major characters. I'm planning repeatability in some circumstances but even those would have variations. Naigad and Subni are meant to disappear but Shyni is just unfinished. Bykaas is unfortunately bugged currently but she will have repeat scenes.

    2. Hello. So far I'm impressed with the game and it's really promising. I like the dialogues a lot, because they're natural.

      I have a question, can I meet with Shyni again after visitng the sauna with her? If yes, how? I'm a bit lost.

    3. No, sauna is the last Shyni scene she disappears after that. Her story is just unfinished.

    4. I see, thanks you. She is interesting character curious about world that's outside her town. I'm looking forward to explore rest of her story.

      I'd like to give some feedback. I'd be nice to be allowed to leave the first town whenever I want. Currently, I have to wait till night to have that option available. Also, you can't interact with your inventory and statisctics inside the town nor are buttons to open such menus.

  22. Why did you use Adobe AIR? I can't run the game because I need to install Adobe AIR. However, according to the Adobe AIR installer I can't install Adobe AIR unless I already have Adobe AIR installed!

    1. What system are you on? Unfortunately changing from Adobe AIR is not possible. I'm not very familiar with Adobe AIR or how it interacts with different configs. Kinda learning as I go.

  23. Almost all attack cards do not remove themselves from your "active inventory", when clicked they will show up on the right like they are unequipping but the number never gets smaller/disappears on the left.

  25. Bug: The stats might be bugged since you would need one (1) point higher then what is required to get certain dialogues. Naigad as example needs 8 and 9 CHA for two certain dialogues at the lake and the sex scene, but I had to crank it up to 10 CHA to trigger the highest CHA level dialogue required.

  26. I chose to pocket the knife and leave the tavern, which took me back to the town backdrop but left the two "leave the knife" and "pocket knife" options up and soft locked the game.

So just some questions, are the scenes shown here all going to be colored in the future or are they going to stay as is I have seen your other artwork and its incredible so I was curious as to whether you plan to add more detail to the already existing scenes? Also, scenes, like with Naigad, in the story you mention seeing each other again will that come to be later on in the story or is that the end of their story? If that's all there is to them that sucks.. I really liked Naigad was hoping to see more to her, what was up with the strange object, and if there would be more Sexual scenes in the future as a possibility with her as well as other characters not as a repeat of the same scene just progressing story. Lastly, how often do you think you would update this game? No pressure but I am asking due to considering support on patreon I would love to support this project of yours but with so many other projects of late I have supported just falling through or the creator just lets it die I really want this one to progress. Keep up the work hope to see a response for this it'd be awesome and I fully plan to keep a close eye on this for some time.

  31. This visual novel rly hit some marks on me! The writing is good, the art and lore are amazing, gameplay shows promise, the entire premise of the game IS different, there is content for everyone (sex or celibacy), RPG, male or female protagonist, beings that actually look alien and otherworldly but still manage to look attractive in their own way, etc. This has the making of a great game. I love it!!
